About HelpHub
HelpHub is a simple way for neighbours to help neighbours with small tasks — DIY, moving help, cleaning, flat-pack assembly, gardening, and small repairs.
This is a personal community project built to be useful where I live. It’s designed to stay friendly, local-first, and free to use.

Why we exist
- To make small jobs easier: posting a task should take minutes, not hours.
- To keep help local: the best helpers are often just around the corner.
- To build trust: clear messages, fair offers, and reviews after completion.
What HelpHub is (and isn’t)
- Great for: small, everyday tasks and one-off help.
- Not ideal for: large building projects, emergency call-outs, or anything that requires formal contracting.
- Payments: agreed directly between users — HelpHub doesn’t handle money.
The goal is simple: one safe place to post, agree details, and coordinate locally.
Keeping it free & community-first
- No fees: HelpHub doesn’t take a cut from tasks.
- No ads: the site isn’t built around tracking or attention.
- Respect for privacy: we don’t sell personal data.
If we ever add optional donations or community sponsorship in the future, it will be transparent and never required.
Safety and respect
- Agree scope, timing, and price in messages before starting.
- Avoid upfront payments for larger jobs.
- Meet in public where possible and trust your instincts.
- Report users or tasks that feel suspicious — reports are reviewed as quickly as possible.
HelpHub is a coordination tool — users are responsible for their own agreements and safety.
