Simple guide · For everyone
How to use HelpHub
HelpHub is a community-run place for small local tasks. You can post a task if you need help, or become a helper and lend a hand. There are no platform fees — people agree payment directly.
Before you start
- Create an account so you can message and receive offers.
- Verify your email (it helps keep the community safer).
- Add a profile photo if you can — it builds trust quickly.
- Use clear location: your town/area is enough (no need to post your full address).
Tip: If you’re not sure how to describe the task, post a question first in Get advice.
What works best here
- Great for: DIY, flat-pack assembly, moving help, cleaning, gardening, small repairs.
- Not ideal for: emergencies, large building projects, or anything that needs formal contracting.
- Payments: arranged directly between people (HelpHub does not handle money).
If anything feels unsafe or suspicious, don’t continue — you can report the listing or user.
If you need help
Posting a task is just describing what you need and waiting for offers.
- Post a task with a clear title and simple description.
- Add photos if possible (photos help helpers price fairly).
- Set your area (town + county) and your budget (or say “open to offers”).
- Read offers and message if you have questions.
- Choose a helper when you’re happy with the plan.
- After it’s done, mark complete and leave a review.

If you want to help
Helping is browsing local tasks and sending a clear offer.
- Browse tasks near you (filter by category and area).
- Open a task and read the details + photos.
- Send an offer with your price, timing, and a short message.
- Agree details in messages (scope, time, price).
- Do the task and ask the poster to mark complete.
- Get reviewed and build your reputation.
Copy/paste message templates
These make it easier if you’re not sure what to write.
Helper → Poster
Offer message:
My price would be €[amount] and it includes [what’s included].
Quick question: [one question about the task].
Poster → Helper
Reply message:
Please confirm the total price is €[amount] for [scope].
Any tools/materials I should have ready?
Safety tips (simple rules)
- Message first: agree scope, timing, and price before starting.
- No upfront payments for larger jobs — pay after work is done.
- Meet smart: if you can, have someone else at home or meet in a public place first.
- Protect privacy: don’t share full address or phone number until you’re comfortable.
- Trust your instincts: if something feels off, cancel and report.
HelpHub is a community coordination tool — users are responsible for their own agreements and safety.
